GIA Courier Services
When buying or selling diamonds, we recommend having a reputable gemological laboratory evaluate the loose stone and create a grading report. GIA Diamond Grading Reports can increase the value of a diamond or gemstone.
Cal Coast Jewelry Appraisers is insured by Jewelers Mutual to deliver loose diamonds to The Gemological Institute of America (located within 2.5 miles of Cal Coast Jewelry Appraisers) to have diamonds graded. A diamond certificate issued by the GIA contains grades indicating the quality of the stone’s color, clarity, and cut, as well as the weight of the diamond in carats. A GIA grading report also contains information regarding the surface polish, symmetry, and fluorescence emitted and change of color when exposed to UV light. Diamond certificates often include diagrams that show important proportions of the stone and the location of visible flaws.
Once GIA has completed their report, Cal Coast Jewelry Appraisers will retrieve your diamond or gemstone and perform an appraisal of the item based on your intended use.
Why GIA? The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is the leading and most trusted gemological laboratory in the world.
